RESERVATION AND PAYMENT

How do I make a reservation?

Once you fill in the reservation form on our website and your reservation is confirmed, you will receive an accommodation agreement via email. The next step will be to pay a deposit of 600 EUR / 15.000 CZK. This money will be kept until the end of your stay and refunded in full amount if you leave the room in the same condition on the check-out day.

What is the difference between a twin room and a twin room with a shared bathroom?

A twin room includes two beds, as well as a private bathroom and toilet for two people. In a twin room with a shared bathroom, there are two separate twin rooms and the bathroom, toilet, fridge, and kettle are shared among four people.

Rent payment and deadline

Rent must be made no later than the 25th calendar day of the month preceding the month for which the rent is paid. Payment can be made by bank transfer or bank card or cash at the reception desk. If the tenant is late paying the rent, he/she must pay a contractual fine in the amount of EUR 4 for every extra delayed day.

If my rent payment is in EUR, can I switch it to CZK during my stay in the dormitory?

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Check in

Standard time for check in is after 14:00. A document confirming the handover of the room (Room check-in protocol) is signed by the tenant and the accommodation provider.

Check out

The tenant is obliged to pass the room in the state in which it was found and leave the room no later than 10:00 am on the agreement expiration date. A document confirming the handover of the room (Room check-out protocol) is signed by the tenant and the accommodation provider. On the contract final cleaning must be done by the resident as agreed in the tenant contract beforehand.

Что делать, если моя виза задерживается?

Если студент не может прибыть в запланированную дату заезда по не зависящим от него обстоятельствам (виза все еще обрабатывается), первый платеж за аренду должен быть внесен не позднее первого дня бронирования, а все последующие платежи за аренду должны быть внесены не позднее 25-го числа текущего месяца. В случае неуплаты арендной платы бронирование аннулируется, а депозит не возвращается.

If your reservation is in EUR, we can convert the currency based on our exchange rate once every six months. However, you cannot pay penalties or make purchases at the reception in Czech crowns if your reservation is in euros.

DOCUMENTATION

Can you provide proof of accomodation for my visa?

If you need to prove your reservation and show it at your visa appointment, we can offer you the Confirmation of Accommodation, which will cost 8 EUR/ 200 CZK. You can pay for it on the day of your arrival. A physical copy of the Confirmation of Accommodation can be provided upon the request and paid by the student.

How do I terminate my accomodation?

The accommodation agreement may be terminated by either party without any provided reasons in a written form (available at reception) within a period of ninety (90) days that will start on the first day of the next month. If a student cancels the reservation more than 30 days before the check-in date the refund of the security deposit is decreased by the compensation for the costs and administrative expenses related to the reservation and cancellation of the reservation. These costs are estimated at EUR 100 / 2.500 CZK. Cancellation of reservation more than 30 days before check-in date: 100% refund of the paid security deposit. Minus CZK 2,500 / 100 EUR processing fee. Cancellation of reservation 0–29 days before check-in date: No refund.

ROOM RULES AND REGULATIONS

General rules

• Please do not cause disturbances during night hours (between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.), observe the rights and needs of other tenants, refrain from actions that could endanger persons or property, refrain from disturbing peace and order inside or outside the Student House and refrain from infringing on other persons' rights in any other way. • Please regularly clean the assigned room and amenities (toilet, bathroom, entryway), and discard waste using the garbage bin located within the building; clean and wash the kitchen stove, counter, microwave oven, table, and, if necessary, the floor after every use.

What is provided in the room?

Student House Botic provides a blanket, pillow, and bed linen. Once per month the bedlinen can be changed for free. To change the bedlinen more than once per month will require a payment of 50czk. Refrigerator and kettle are also provided.

What amenities are provided in the student house?

In our building we have: • Ping-pong room • Student club/TV room • Fitness room • Study room on the 5th and 6th floors are open 24/7 without a key • There is laundry in the basement costing 75czk (pay at the reception desk by cash or card)

GUEST POLICIES

General rules

• Upon entering the Student House between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m., visitors must show their identification card and register in the Book of Guests and Visitors. • Visitors present in the Student House between 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. must register as guests at the reception in the presence of the visited person. • A guest's overnight stay in the apartment rented by the visited person is subject to a fee of EUR 17 per night/per student. Accommodation for persons without the student status costs EUR 26 per night/per person.

• No smoking in the rooms and on the floors (balcony) due to the fire protection system. If a student break the rules, he/she will be subject to a fine. • Keeping any animals.

SAFETY AND SUPPORT

The Student House is open 24 hours a day, including weekends and public holidays.
